Fernando Otero returns to the stage for the 2026-27 season alongside his long-time collaborators, the Special Quintet. The lineup features Franco Luciano on harmonica, Adam Tully on guitar, Ramiro Boero on bandoneon, and Pablo Lanouguere on bass. For this tour, the quintet debuts Portal, a brand-new program that weaves together Otero’s latest compositions with a curated selection of pieces by diverse composers who profoundly influenced his journey as a performer.

Fernando Otero est de retour sur scène pour la saison 2026-27 aux côtés de ses collaborateurs de longue date, le Special Quintet. La formation réunit les talents de Franco Luciano à l'harmonica, Adam Tully à la guitare, Ramiro Boero au bandonéon et Pablo Lanouguere à la basse. À cette occasion, le quintet dévoile Portal, un tout nouveau programme qui mêle des compositions inédites d'Otero à une sélection exclusive de pièces de différents compositeurs, choisies par Fernando pour l'influence majeure qu'elles ont eue sur son parcours d'interprète.
We were having coffee with Varijashree in New York before she met Chick Corea at the Blue Note, a temple of jazz. We spoke about Indian traditions, the music of Tigran Hamasyan, and our love for coffee. We had already been making music together, and we decided to continue with this project—after our first album together in 2019, named Astrantia. Long-time friends are part of this journey: Waldo Madera on drums, Pablo Lanouguere on bass, and Brian Forbes on guitar.
